Maple Nut Granola

Maple Nut Granola

Granola is a favorite in our house, especially when served over banana and plain yogurt. I find this recipe super easy with a quick clean up. I save the granola in glass jars for up to two weeks if we don’t finish it sooner. I wrote it up with my favorite choices, but you can substitute your favorite nuts.

Ingredients:

1 cup HHF Maple Syrup, preferably Dark Robust
3 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/2 tsp Sea Salt
3 cups Old Fashioned Oats
1/2 cup Macadamia Nuts, chopped
1/2 cup Sunflower Seeds
1/2 cup Slivered Almonds
2 tsp Ground Cinnamon

Directions:

Preheat oven to 325.

In a small saucepan - combine the maple syrup and the olive oil. Bring to a slight boil then remove from the heat. Stir in the vanilla extract and salt.

In a large mixing bowl - combine the oats, macadamia nuts, sunflower seeds, almonds and cinnamon. Pour the hot syrup mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until well combined. Spread out granola mix on a large parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Let granola cool before transferring to mason jars or tupperware for storing.
